Working in the Federal Government

The federal government employs about 2 million civilian workers making it the biggest employer in the US! Plus, most of the employees aren't stuck in the capital - around 85% percent work outside of D.C. in places all over the country. There is even the opportunity to work outside the country - the government employees over 50,000 people overseas. According to a survey on the best places in work in the federal government the top three agencies are Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Government Accountability Office, and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Think your major doesn't apply in order for you to work in agencies such as these? Think again! Government agencies employ people with a variety of majors.
